Mr. Boxberger called the regular March meeting of the Town of Watertown Planning Board to order at 3:00 p.m.

Motion 19-21: Motion by Mr. MacAdam, seconded by Mr. Smith to accept the minutes of the February 1, 2021 meeting as written and distributed.

Ayes All: Motion Carried.

SIGN PERMIT/SITE PLAN

Runnings – 21082 Pioneer Plaza Drive (Formerly KMart) – Tax Map #82.11-1-69 – Sign Permit.

The Board reviewed proposed signage and site plan for Runnings, 21082 Pioneer Plaza Drive, Tax Map #82.11-1-69. The proposed signage is for three (3) signs on the building and one (1) replacement placard on the pylon sign. Site Plan included a loading dock at the rear of the store and seasonal landscaping display in the existing South parking lot area. Exterior lighting will be Dark Sky Compliant. Discussion followed.

Motion 20-19: Motion by Mr. Boxberger, seconded by Mr. Smith to waive the site plan review requirement for Runnings, 21082 Pioneer Drive as the modifications are very insignificant as shown on Drawing A000, dated 2/24/21. There will not be any new construction only slight modifications to the existing building itself and the existing footprint will remain the same. There will be no additional impervious surface. This is conditional that any new exterior lighting be Dark Sky compliant.

Motion 21-21: Motion by Mrs. Desormo, seconded by Mr. Boxberger to approve signage for Runnings, 21082 Pioneer Plaza Drive, Tax Map #82.11-1-69 to include three (3) signs on the front of the store. One (1) will be 200 square feet, and two (2) will be 30 square feet and approval of a replacement placard on the pylon sign as shown on plans prepared by LaBel, A201 & the Pylon Project P2003136, dated 2/9/21.

Fuccillo Mazda – 18822 US Route 11 – Tax Map #91.09-1-6.2 – Sign Permit

Mrs. Desormo presented proposed signage for Fuccillo Mazda, 18822 US Route 11, Tax Map #91.09-1-6.2.

Fuccillo is replacing old signage with a new 20′ x 11’5″ foot Mazda Sign. The sign will be in the same place as the existing sign.

The Board spoke with the AGI Representative via telephone conference regarding the proposed signage. Discussion followed.

A decorative/landscape plan needs to be submitted for the base of the proposed sign. This is a zoning requirement.

AGI needs to check with the NYS DOT and make sure placement is 15′ from the right-of-way before a zoning permit will be issued.

Motion 22-21: Motion by Mrs. Desormo, seconded by Mr. Boxberger to approve signage for Fuccillo Mazda, 18822 US Route 11, Tax Map #91.09-1-6.2 as shown on Plans prepared by AGI, Pages 1-7, dated 2/26/19 with a revision date of 4/17/19. This is for a 20′ Monument/ Pylon Sign at the front of the store and three (3) signs on the building, conditional upon receipt and Board acceptance of site plan showing placement of the pylon sign meeting all setback requirements and a decorative/landscape plan for the base of the sign.

Motion 23-21: Motion by Mr. MacAdam, seconded by Mr. Smith to adjourn the
meeting at 3:50 p.m.
